You know what I'm talking about. It's the break between the spring season and the fall, those three months which feel like an eternity. You lie on the couch, scrolling through your Instagram feed when you start seeing a rowing meme about the fall season. You laugh to yourself, because it's so relatable, but then your tears of laughter turn to tears of shock as you look at the date it's posted: August 12th. "Damn? Already?", you think to yourself. You realize you haven't done shit this summer, and 5k season is quickly approaching. You promised you would get your split down 5', at the very least, but you can't even remember the last time you got on an erg.
I am glad to say that this hasn't happened to me(yet). I've been exercising everyday, and damn do I feel good. It's not just the fact that I'll be a better rower that motivates me, but exercising in general helps the our bodies release endorphins, which makes you happy. So...if you've been slacking off, hopefully this post makes you snap out of it! It doesn't matter what you do, running, biking, erging, etc., as long as you are staying active!!
Here's some motivation:
